*APPRENTICE UPDATE* Apprentice classes are scheduled for all trades, if you have any questions regarding apprentice or cross-craft training contact "Ed Frieze" at 1-800-238-0999. "Knowledge is the key to success!" Applications for the Apprenticeship Program can be found at our office in Wilkins Township or at a Career Link in your area. Requirements for the program are as follows: 1. Applicant must be of good moral character and be able to perform the physical work of the trade. 2. Applicant must be 18 or older. 3. Must be a high school graduate of have a GED certificate a valid PA drivers license and a vehicle. 4. Must take a written exam and be interviewed. 5. Pay a $25 non-refundable processing fee at some point during the application process. 6. Submit to a test for substance abuse. 7. Must be willing to attend school, out of state, for 12 weeks. 8. Must reside in Pennsylvania to be eligable 9. Submit to a criminal records check. Our jurisdiction is Western Pennsylvania. We have 9 chapters that cover the following areas: PITTSBURGH BRICK CHAPTER: Allegheny County WASHINGTON CHAPTER: Washington & Greene Counties. JOHNSTOWN CHAPTER: Cambria, Bedford, Blair, Fulton, Huntingdon & Somerset Counties. NEW CASTLE/BEAVER CHAPTER: Beaver, Butler, Lawrence & Mercer Counties. CLARION CHAPTER: Vanango, Forest, Clarion, Jefferson & Clearfield Counties. WARREN CHAPTER: Warren, McKean, Potter, Elk & Cameron Counties. GREENSBURG CHAPTER: Armstrong, Fayette, Indiana, & Westmoreland Counties. ERIE CHAPTER: Erie & Crawford Counties. PITTSBURGH ALLIED CRAFTS CHAPTER: All countied listed above.

You can mail in your payment with a check or money order or you can pay with a Checkless Payment-call the office and set it up. You can also pay by credit card (fees apply) REMEMBER, IF YOU PAY FOR 11MONTHS AT ONE TIME YOU GET THE 12TH FREE!!! ***SCHOLARSHIPS***There are a few scholarships available to the families of Union Members. To have all scholarship information mailed to you whenever it becomes available, call the office at 1-800-238-0999 and we will put you on the scholarship mailing list. You will receive all scholarship information as it becomes available and you will continue to receive the information until you call and let us know that you no longer need the information. Read information carefully, there are different eligibility requirements for each scholarship. The Bates Scholarship, from the International, is for High School JUNIORS who have taken who have taken the "PSAT" in Ocotber. Get on the list before your children are in their Junoir year so you won't miss anything.******** Invitations have been mailed to the Erie Chapter Members for their annual picnic at Waldameer Park. In addition to your spouse and dependent children under 18 who are admitted free, we are welcoming additional family members and guests at a nominal cost. Details are in the invitation.
